It fulfills all the purposes for which it is intended.
We have used it repeatedly to separate cooking juices from fat and have found it to be superior to other similar devices we have used over the years. The design is very good to carry out the desired separation. The material is also excellent, especially with regard to possible breakage. Our other devices are all glass and we've always worried about banging them against a sink or other hard surface, causing catastrophic and dangerous damage.
