Can I love a spark plug? I do not know. Did they make my daughter's car work better? * YES SIR *. Little did I know that a few years ago we installed Autolite spark plugs and one of them got stuck causing the car to post a P0302 error so I knew it was cylinder 2 but WHAT caused it , was not so easy to understand at first glance. instantly. I assumed the problem was more serious and we bought motor coils along with these spark plugs. These pre-gap plugs were easy to install on my daughter's 2000 Lexus ES300 (Variable Valve Timing). She has over 245,000 miles on her engine. As said. We bought these because my daughter's car had engine code P0302 which could be a spark plug, motor coil or wiring (to start). I changed coil #2 to #4 and we still have P0300 and P0302. I still think it must be the coil. We swapped out the coils (in fact, I taught my 20-year-old daughter how to change coils) but the idle was still rough and the code still gave a P0302 error. It turned out that her #2 spark plug was stuck after all and after replacing it with this NGK her car now runs fine. We have yet to replace all 3 motor coils in the top half of the block and all 3 spark plugs since we were at it. As for the cost. The local parts store wanted a lot more and all they brought was an Autolite which I don't need. My daughter's car runs smooth with these new pluses (and coils), no more problems and no more engine codes.
