Overall I like the look of the watch. It is quiet. It is designed to be viewed at an angle. Large dial with brown wood for clock hands. The dial is not covered, the hands are freely available. The top comes off easily. If you have toddlers who can reach it, they may tear their hand off and try to chew on it. I moved it about 6 feet from the chair I'm sitting in. My idea was to take a quick look at my watch and then go back to my computer. I placed it vertically first so I could see it clearly (Figure 1). However, it sits on a relatively narrow base and will fall over if a door slams or similar impacts occur. It is designed to rest on the part from behind (Fig. 2 and 3). In this position, you can see it better directly above my chair. So I'm disappointed. Most of the photos in the description show them standing up so I assumed they would work that well. The watch itself is good, but does not meet my requirements.
