I have a cat about 7lbs the other is 12lbs both love it. It took them almost 2 full days to climb in alone. I took the lid off to let them get used to it and on the second day I just put the lid on without opening it all the way and that seemed to help! I got this mainly for my younger cat as she gets scared every time it rains and hides where she feels safe which ends up being one of the places I don't want her (behind the toilet, in trays, in toilets). This is a great cozy little pod for cats to feel safe in as they love tight spaces! A bit pricey but my kids are spoiled so it's worth it! :)
