I read a similar review and decided to ignore it when purchasing. I just installed it and it took over 30 minutes and a lot of sweat. First, the holes in my rear or front bumper (Ford Focus) did not match. The screws need to be sharper to start the holes. I didn't plan on using a drill and ended up using a smaller screw to make the pilot holes for the front. The bracket is set about an inch higher at the front. It wasn't usable from the back due to curvature and hole placement, and I left my old one there for now. I first put a real license plate in a silicone frame and added plastic washers to hide the screws, but that extra thickness along with a slight concavity in the way my front one was attached meant the 4 screws were too short . In the end, it took perfect alignment and *a lot* of force to get those screws into that bracket. I will be purchasing two replacement mounts from another brand to replace what I currently have.
