First, it works great for its intended purpose. It looks nice as a name tag, very bright, good size and the text is very clear. The app isn't named like the instructions and my QR code wasn't working (404 error) so I had to use trial and error to find the right app. The app itself is basic, no frills, but works. Error messages are in Chinese but easy to understand. That's why I bought it and I really wish it would work like this - I was hoping to put it next to my son's gaming PC so I could send a message like "dinner in 5 minutes" that popped up to to let him know what you're doing you have to quit your game. Unfortunately, you can't send or update a message unless you press the button on the sidebar of the device itself. If they worked like that, I'd pay twice as much or more.
