I have hundreds of records in my collection, at least 50 of which have never been released from vinyl to CD. I miss music but love the world of digital recording. This is the best low cost solution I've come across to break the barrier (from LP to CD) and I've been looking for it for a while. As another reviewer has pointed out, the turntable isn't meant to last a long, hard life on the road DJing or anything like that. It's a little fragile. As long as it's used to transfer analog records from vinyl to your computer, it will serve you well. The software is easy to install and use, and does a pretty good job of picking up scratches and pops. Because you start with analog files, each song must be recorded and named separately if you want to select what you listen to later by song. Once you have your first set of digital files (.WAV), you can manage them like anything else. I may have kept some things from the 60's too long - not my records!
