Having apparently failed 2 out of 4 cameras on my old system (1st Gen OS 2.0) (I thought the internal weather seal was broken) and learning through trial and error, OOSSXX does not offer replacements/additional cameras and after unsuccessful attempts to use all 'compatible' aftermarket 2.0 cameras. I ordered/installed this kit as a replacement. The first camera told the story. While the antennas were fully exposed to each other through an open door just 30 feet from the HDD receiver box, it lost signal after successfully testing inside (this was one of the old camera positions I thought was dead). I went ahead and replaced 3 other pre-tested cameras from this system and the 2nd camera that I thought was dead also didn't work after installation. They are both on the west side of the house and only lose contact at sunrise, a phenomenon that only recently started with the first system this year after over 4 years of continuous operation. The only utility on this side is the Xcel transformer on the ground floor which was replaced over 3 years ago and did not affect the first system. The only other difference is that the neighbor on this side has a ring doorbell installed. I'm patiently waiting for the optional repeater accessory I ordered, Revain suddenly seems to be suffering from extended delivery times. Which brings me to the title, as mentioned, I already have extensive experience with the OS 2.0 system, including manual firmware updates, adding a camera manually, and so on. Now that the firmware of this new system is up to date and dusk is falling, all the cameras are back online. The next morning I went to review the footage, which used to take about 10 minutes for 8-9 hours. video or 1.3 seconds per minute. This new system takes 4 seconds per minute at maximum FF speed, which means over 1/2 hour to watch 8.5 of his videos. Simply unacceptable! Looks like I'll come back with the repeater if it ever gets here and look for a wired system that doesn't run that crappy firmware. I literally wrote this review in a meager 6 hours. FF video review (12pm-6pm).
