The ScanMaker 3700 is a fast scanner with near-perfect image quality. Basic utilities for one-button copying and emailing of documents are great, but the default one-button scanning settings often yield less than adequate results than logging into PhotoImpact and scanning the image yourself. The setup went smoothly. and automatically. The applications that come with it are comprehensive and I myself usually don't get past PhotoImpact and Caere PageKeeper (meaning I have everything I need). However, the software bundle includes some other apps such as: B. ULead PhotoImpact Album and Caere OCR software that you may find useful. neither the correct color balance nor the image quality, and they need to be adjusted. Although it's a film scanner, you won't be using it to scan and print negatives, but it's more than adequate for previewing images before deciding which ones to print at a professional lab (and since it's developed for a scanner). up to $100, that's a good deal). Basically, we are completely satisfied with the device. It's great for pictures and printed documents, and the film adapter is a welcome addition.
