so it works as advertised I've been using it for about a month or two. This is a direct replacement, take the battery and loosen the tiny screw, then simply slide the plastic wedge between the grooves while the key is out and pull it snug but not too hard out of your car. Now just replant everything in place and you're done. The only thing I don't like is that it feels rather plasticky, I mean it still works but doesn't have the polymer content that you get from the original. Also, my lock button seems hard to press but I figured it out, all I had to do was wiggle the button hard and it stopped getting stuck.
