Review on Kumho Road Venture M/T KL71 245/80 R15 104Q all season by Adam Adam ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, not disappointed.

This tire was bought in the amount of 265/75 r16 for the first generation Mitsubishi Pajero Sport car. Who is interested in getting up without a lift. For fishing trips and dacha. In general, I am very pleased with the rubber. At the beginning, I was afraid that it would be impossible to drive around the city because of the noise, but no. Up to 100 km / h is quite comfortable in terms of noise, not noisier than winter studded tires. Operating mode (weekdays-city asphalt, weekends-cottage primer). Operation on asphalt showed: the rubber behaves well on a wet road, there was a moment of driving through a puddle 7-10 cm deep and 5-10 meters wide at a speed of 90 km / h on the rear wheel drive, it would seem that the car will throw it around, but no, it flew like a tank. Water is thrown out of the contact patch brilliantly. The thick tread caught self-tapping screws up to 19 mm and there was no need for a very thick layer of rubber. Manageability on the pavement at 4 minus. Up to 110 km / h there is still nothing, but after that you start to catch a car. Although it is certainly not intended for such movement, although the speed index is up to 160 km / h. I did not notice an increase in fuel consumption after replacing the road tires with this one, if there is, then within 0.5-1 liter. The rubber is quite soft, but in this regard, the wear during the season was about 3-4 mm. I do not advise you to use tires on asphalt in winter, this rubber is not for winter asphalt! There was an unpleasant situation with a U-turn on the track when it hit an icy area. On the ground, the tires showed themselves at 5+. When hit in a rut, the rubber very easily crawls out of it, good side hooks help. On a broken dirt road, it rows no worse than the BF Goodrich KM2, only on clay it does not wash out quickly, but side emissions do not help wash out. It rides very confidently on loose snow even on rear-wheel drive. The conclusion is this: rubber justifies the price by 100%. Rubber is not for the city, if you take it, then the operation on the ground should be at least 60%, otherwise there is no point in taking it. I do not advise driving on winter asphalt, it’s not dumb! For Gov . and the tires are excellent.

Pros
  • - Moderately noisy on pavement. - Impenetrable for small self-tapping screws (up to 19mm). -Justifies its MT quality by 100% - Brilliantly removes water from the contact patch when driving on flooded roads. - Pretty soft.
Cons
  • -Very heavy. -Wears quickly on pavement. (3-4 mm per season) when driving on asphalt for more than 70% of the operating time.
