EDIT: My apologies for not believing the other reviewers. I just drove 2,000 miles at an illegal speed limit. The deflector did not fly off, but loosened in several places. Went to my local super center and bought 3M shaping tape. The material supplied is not very good. Bought it for my Mercedes C300. I had one in my previous car for 11 years and I really liked it. Concerned about fitting as there is no indication if the size listed is the overall size of the baffle or the maximum hole size. I can report that the advertised size of 35.6 inches is a common size. My shaft opening is 34-3/4 inches, which is the absolute max. Another quarter inch and I would change it. As for the deflector itself, it's ok for the price. Not good. Thinner than I would have liked and I honestly thought there was a protective plastic sheet on the underside after installing it and driving the car. The plastic is so bad. It is clear that this is not transparent acrylic, so not the end of the world, but many waves and flaws in the plastic, right down to the transparent part. The deflector itself is not crooked and not wavy. The one I had on the previous car attached exactly the same way; with 2-sided adhesive tape. 11 years, in all weathers, sometimes on the highway at high speed, and no problems. I've read reviews where people said the deflector "fly". Now it's plausible. The tape should have a surface that sticks well. The surface of this deflector is smooth. Must be sanded. The instructions recommend using "Car Wash Soap" to clean the painted surface. Bad idea. A VERY bad idea. Car wash soap is NOT specifically designed to remove wax. Some brands even add wax. I used a rag soaked in gasoline. Serious. I then wiped it down with a cloth soaked in isopropyl alcohol. You can also use an electronics or glasses cleaning cloth. Dry the area with a cotton or paper towel. Not the microfiber thing. The most important thing is that you remove all of the wax from the line where the tape will be. First check the installation of the deflector with the back on the tape. Check the seat from the inside with the roof open. Get the item where you want. Use blue painter's tape to create guides at the corners and center front. Apply to a warm surface. Put the car in the sun for a while. If this is not possible, use a hair dryer. Remove the protective film from the tape and stick it on. Press your lip firmly. Multiple times. Wait a few hours and then press again. Wait a day and then press down again. If you have cleaned the surface well, you can tighten the deflector AFTER A FEW DAYS and you will find that it does not move. If you mess up, put extra tape on for a second try. Result? Good deflector for the price. If I had to do it again I would probably spend more and get a thicker one. EDIT: After driving this thing around for a while I noticed something very annoying. People buy these deflectors because we want to drive with the top down but not be affected by the air. I've noticed that at speeds over 80 km/h I have to keep the roof about 1/4 closed. When I washed the car today I noticed that the rear deflector has a downward bend. The? WHY? Even? OK. A small elevator? Even better. Turn off? Idiotic. That is why this deflector rises when the roof is closed. I ended up cutting the curve with a jigsaw and it's better. I'll probably get a thicker baffle that doesn't direct air downwards.
