Review on 🧣 Mylar Emergency Blanket 52x84 by Wagner Witlin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Maybe the product has changed since the previous reviews?

Has the product changed since the last reviews? I've read a lot about brittleness, easy tearing, wind tearing, etc. here. So the very first one I took out of the box turned out to be a guinea pig for durability. I shook it out; I tore it like a towel several times; I tried to tear it apart with my bare hands; and I wrapped my kitten in it to see if she could "break out of the mylar bag". It is fully intact at this point as I would expect from Mylar based on what I have read about the original product. I don't know what previous buyers got, but I think I got real Mylar. If I can figure out what's going to destroy this thing, I'll let you know. It definitely reflects my body heat back to me, I had it on my bare skin, I would crawl under the covers with it, all the time wondering if my toenails were damaged. wanted to rip it but it didn't rip...it really made me sweat so I really need to make sure there's clothes underneath. I'm planning to put one of these in a double duvet to use in bed on really cold nights. Mostly to wrap myself up when I go to the bathroom after emerging from a nice warm duvet in my unheated house. I think it will be easier to manage and quieter in a blanket. LOL It comes in a very small package and you will never get it back in that package. I put it in a quart sized ziploc bag when I was playing with it. Someday when I'm really bored and feel the patience I'll see if I can put it back into this little package. However I am now very happy with my purchase and am planning to cut one of these up to use as a reflector, in cat beds, gloves and shoes and in my sleepyhead etc.

Pros
  • Stores and reflects body heat.
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
