I used to use this to clean corn but somehow it got lost. Hence this purchase. People complain about the cobs slipping off, etc. If you're seriously trying to break off dozens of cobs to freeze candy corn, try this: 1) pound a long nail into a 2 x 8 piece of board 2) pound or poke a Hole in the middle of an old metal mold for baking (cake). 3) Put the pan on the nail on the board. 4) Stick a corncob on your nail and clean it. For 5 dozen ears, repeat the last step 60 times. You will thank me later.
