My money is wasted, the product is terrible.

Enough time has passed, the 12-core has already come out. The whole series is definitely a failure. Yes, Linus bought it. It is beneficial for him for work, rendering, but, he is an American, rich at the same time, he does not have prices that are one and a half to two times overpriced like ours, plus he will recapture his cost with work, but we - not in life, and for him this stove is a separate room, from which both the monitor and the PC controls are removed, i. E. it is isolated from the noise and temperatures of this monster.

Pros

Suitable as a cheap server, has a large L3 cache, i. E. its performance is stretched to the maximum in the current configuration. It starts already sort of like on A chipsets, and even these motherboards do not kill. As BU will someday be a good working option.

Cons

There are a lot of cons. This is a furnace, terrible, badly managed, undervolting instantly drops performance. Memory management is poor + two-channel, which is not enough for such a number of cores. The case when "saving" the socket did not benefit, and in general it is unprofitable for the user. It has artificially hacked functionality compared to Threadripers. Unlike Intel, it is not capable of being energy efficient, and it blasts to the fullest with all cores even from the browser. Throttles in this situation will whistle much earlier than we would like, and kill your nerves. Even ASUS motherboards squeal and crackle already with 8 cores, 12 cores and even more so 16 cores will turn them into a complete nightmare. Well, the price - it costs almost 2 times more than it should (not 33 thousand, as in the USA), although the last drawback most likely relates to Putin and his taxes. I don’t understand why I have to vote for him with a when I voted against in the elections. For me, such taxes should be applied exclusively and only to patriots.
