Review on Design Engineering 010402 Starter Shield by Onsommoshit Mathews
Fixed a starting failure due to overheating on an old GM starter.
Why factory original starters work well for decades but are remanufactured or labeled as brand new materials, reproductions of old starter designs fail due to heat is still a mystery to me. However, the problem of not starting for 10-20 minutes after turning off the engine after long trips has been completely eliminated. Or on very hot days with short or long journeys. I find the price a little high, which is why I put off buying it for so long. But now that I have one, it's worth the price to save me the hassle.
