I bought this for my 6 year old son with autism. He already had this model and it worked great, so I wanted to buy him another one. This model didn't have a screen cover like the previous model. It looked like it had a coating on the picture and I just assumed it had. I gave this model four stars because it is beautiful. He is durable. I like that there is a flip cover over the charging port to keep water or splashes out. The handle is very convenient for carrying. It stands very well on flat, stable surfaces. I wish there wasn't a lid in front of the screen. However, I got it working by purchasing a clear screen protector. I actually like it because on my son's latest screen protector, the screen protector was a crappy plastic; It made the screen look bad and required you to press hard on the iPad screen to access various functions. So this model suited me very well. Conclusion: If you are looking for a shockproof case with a front panel, then this is not the model for you.
