Okay I have a really silly 4 year old but he keeps thanking me for his cool robotic socks (it might lie too because 90% of our socks are white by default, or he's been hanging out with his sock-obsessed uncle too much). In any case, the socks are slightly below average thickness. Most of his shoes are starting to get tight, so this thickness suited us well. The quality is about the same as other socks in this thickness category. I bought size 5-7 for my 4 year old. He has big feet but the socks seem fine. I would recommend buying a size up. I've read some reports of torn socks. This has happened to us in the past when we stretched the sock too much. The socks perform as I would expect from a sock, nothing special. The quality is excellent for the price. I plan to order more. The design is very cute and like I said my four year old thanked me for it.
