My son will be 15 months in a week, I bought a set for 1-2 years. They are for Christmas but the first thing that struck me when I received them was that they were very large. I tried a pair on him just to see and they go great with a pair of shoes but if he only wears socks they will eventually slip off his feet. He's a size 5, actually a 4 1/2, but that's not a real shoe size lol. I decided to throw them in the wash today hoping they might shrink a bit after washing and drying. All in all, 10

Okay I have a really silly 4 year old but he keeps thanking me for his cool robotic socks (it might lie too because 90% of our socks are white by default, or he's been hanging out with his sock-obsessed uncle too much). In any case, the socks are slightly below average thickness. Most of his shoes are starting to get tight, so this thickness suited us well. The quality is about the same as other socks in this thickness category. I bought size 5-7 for my 4 year old. He has big feet but the socks
