Mom of two swears by Jungle Mocs

I am a mother of two sons 3.5 years apart. One is now 12 years old in men's size 10W, the youngest is 9 years old in youth size 3W. I've bought two pairs of brown and black sneakers since my oldest started school in 2014, starting at about a size 1. Most of the time I can save my older son's overgrown Jungle Mocs for my younger son. We only had to replace a few pairs of light brown colors as they have more blemishes. The black ones are usually given to the youngest who still look brand new. I've even managed to hand wash them in the sink and air dry them with paper towels stuffed inside to ensure they hold their shape in case they can't resist a mud puddle. I'm amazed at some of the bad reviews they get because these shoes stand up to some boys with very basic care. Always spray 2-3 coats of Camp Dry on all suede shoes first before letting your boyfriend wear them. Do this 2-3 times a year. A suede brush and damp washcloth are ideal for everyday dirt and grime. Teach your little ones not to pull their toes all the way up when riding scooters, bikes, swings, etc. Point out how this habit destroys even the most durable shoes. Check their shoes regularly and trim or burn any loose threads before your cute boy can't resist tugging on one of them while trying to sit still in class. Always buy at least two pairs of shoes for your children; Wearing the same pair every day is bad for your feet and the durability of your shoes. Feet sweat a lot and shoes last longer if you change two pairs and let one of them dry for 24 hours. Always wear socks and a weekly dose of Lysol will keep them hygienic and odor free. Buy a shoe sizer and make sure you buy the right size and width; Try not to buy large plants to grow. These Jungle Mocs have outlived my two very active boys and been passed down to younger cousins with such basic care. These are really bulletproof school shoes for boys and we haven't yet met a gym teacher who has complained that they aren't comfortable enough for running and working out.
