Great option for unlit QC3.0 port but get your own wiring

I ordered several QC3.0 USB ports and this one won because it was unlit. Seems to be working fine. I used it in the back seat of my Mini as I didn't order the Mini's storage option which includes USB power in the back seat. It's plastic, not aluminum like some others, but I'm not sure if that's really a factor because if it melts it's dead anyway and shouldn't be exposed and abused anyway. This requires a 1.25 inch hole saw. As a bonus, it also has a larger nut than some of the others, which came in handy for installation. My only complaint is that the wiring that comes with it isn't very good (it's terrible). in the pictures), so I suggest you get your own cables and connectors. The wire that comes with it is very thin (maybe AWG 22 or 24) that can handle current, but it's too small in my opinion. The connectors are that cheapest aluminum I've ever seen. Competitor manufacturers seem to come up with much better wire (and pre-crimped for you). I took 18 AWG red and black wire and used some heat shrink crimp connectors which are great for the car. looks great on the mini!
