This snaps nicely into my seat belt holder. I drive a 2002 Ford Focus. I am still working on the correct length adjustment for my 16 month old pup. Mini Schnauzer, 8-9 pounds. This protects it in the event of a braking impact or an accident. Hyphen so I'll try to adjust it shorter if it's that short and still comfortable. Neither high nor low. All in all a good buy. Feel better about it. I got it as a Prime supplement. Good deal for me, safer for my dog! UPDATE OCTOBER 2015 This still works great and we love it. I feel comfortable knowing my dog is safe. He can stand by the window with the window down, his face blowing in the wind, and I know he can't jump or fall out. Fastening it, like me, is now automatic for us. Without that it would not have been possible!
