My father has had a smaller cockatoo for over 20 years and developed a bad habit of spitting his food out of his round bowl which made a big mess and was wasteful. After my dad died, I took Bart in and quickly switched to this acrylic box. At first he wasn't a fan as most birds don't really like environmental changes, but after one day he was curious enough and hungry to try it. WORTH EVERY PENNY! Much less waste, and that gives him the opportunity to "root" in the bin. This particular crate is just the right size, so I don't think much larger birds than LSCs could use it easily.
