Although the picture is clear, it is convenient to work on a tripod, but there are a few questions.1. The included phone mount isn't like most. Instead of having a small area it presses against the screen to keep the phone steady, it has a large pad. That would usually be a good thing, because it usually means safer, more stable. The problem is that the pad is so big when inflated that it's the only thing that sees the screen. This means you cannot use the touchscreen at all to make any adjustments while your phone is connected to the oscilloscope.2. That is hard. I like metal used. It definitely feels very solid and I'm not as concerned as many as I feel it can take a fall or two. The bad news is that the included tripod mount doesn't fit a regular tripod (I'll get to that in a moment). I tried using my regular tripod phone holder and due to the weight of the scope, my phone holder broke (no big deal, I have a more durable one anyway). The thing is that if you plan to use a real tripod instead of the one that comes with the kit, the weight is too much for a simple phone holder.3. The supplied tripod mount is not suitable for a conventional tripod. This could have been a very easy fix and frankly my biggest disappointment. I can control my phone from my tablet So the tablet is not that important to me. I have a more durable phone holder so I don't really care about my previous phone holder. What really annoys me is that all the tripods in the world are universal. So you can use any camera or mount on any tripod. For some reason even with all Apexel product manufacturers they have made this mount to mount ONLY on the tiny tripod that comes with it. Most people will not use this tripod because it is too small. that's OK. I'm completely baffled that a company like Apexel hasn't made the tripod mount universal. It's so easy to do. You just need to make the mount a little thicker to handle a regular tripod mount. Because of these issues, I cannot in good conscience give this product four or five stars. I'm trying my best to give it three stars because without a real mount it's useless. But the materials used and the image sharpness are top notch, so I really don't want to give two stars. Just when you go for this volume, consider the questions above and you should be happy with the product.
