Review on Dell U3219Q 32-Inch LED Lit Monitor - High Dynamic Range, 60Hz Refresh Rate by Mark Palmer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A nice monitor if you accept its weaknesses

Pros: Stunning colors, incredibly sharp, large size, incredibly durable and ergonomic body. Cons: IPS lights, low HDR, 60Hz, especially when it's almost too big not to bend. above 60Hz, you probably really need to get something like this if you want to play games, especially competitive games. This is more than enough for normal gaming and other tasks, and you really benefit from all those extra pixels. I mainly use this for work so it's browser, console and IDE tabs. This monitor is almost perfect if that's all you're going to do. Almost because even in that context it still suffers if you like doing these things in low light, but it's not noticeable. Even watching a movie with black bars is good enough that I don't really notice the glow, at least not to the point where the screen turns yellow or something. It's also a bit weird doing things/using windows that draw my eyes to the corners. Or maybe it's just that I'm used to using a 34" curved monitor during the day, but it takes some getting used to the changing viewing angles. I knew what I was getting into with this monitor , but I agreed with those concessions as there doesn't seem to be any other monitors of this size and clarity with USB-c other than a couple of LGs that come with their own compromises Speaking of which LG makes a panel in them they really have to match qualitatively I know they can, given the displays they've made in partnership with Apple, but I'm also not going to pay $1300 for a display right now, but even at that much lower price point, I think the Quality shouldn't be too bad I also chose Dell because of the warranties Overall I'm happy with this model but I'll readily admit things could have been a lot better n can.
