I used it on my 2010 Toyota Prius, found the code telling me to replace the hybrid battery, took it to Toyota, they confirmed it and just awaited my dealer's decision to close the hybrid for almost replace up to $5000 battery $4000, $600 labor, and I get charged for battery disposal too. I did some research online and decided to take my car back from Toyota and pay them $120 for pretty much everything, which in this case I couldn't do myself. I went home, plugged in the scanner and erased the code, after that the car started and worked like nothing happened. I had a few lights and the hybrid stopped working, it ran on gas 100% of the time, now it's over. I bought another scanner (mobile phone bluetooth type) that allowed me to check the status of all 14 hybrid battery packs and they all work properly. Very happy with this device, several colleagues have used it and found it extremely useful (Check Engine Indicator). Sorry for writing this right after waking up on my phone, hope it helps.
