I switched to HMR from Medifast because Medifast uses soy protein in the shakes, and HMR uses milk and milk protein. Not only is this a better quality protein, but the shakes taste 100 times better and are much more filling. Also, I try to avoid soy because of its hormonal effects, so HMR wins hands down. The reason I took off one star is because the chocolate shake could have a little more chocolate flavor. HMR could add a teaspoon or two of cocoa powder and it would still have fewer calories than the HMR 800 Vanilla shakes. (The chocolate shakes are 160 calories and the vanilla shakes are 170. Pure cocoa powder is about 10 calories for 3 teaspoons.)Anyway, I add my own cocoa to the shake, and it's heavenly. I've lost weight as well, so this is a great product.
