Call me a chump, but when a product is advertised as "lithium" it's reasonable to assume it's a lithium-ion battery. Of course, it doesn't say "rechargeable" directly, but Emtor's caveat, but "lithium" and "rechargeable" have been pretty much synonymous for the past decade when it comes to personal care products. Instead, what a bonus over the advertised version, which runs on one AA battery and includes an extra (and probably useful) attachment, is that it comes with ONE NON-RECHARGEABLE ENERGIZER LITHIUM AA. To be honest I don't care how well it works, and it's cheap enough that it's not worth returning and swapping for a different version and just using my own non-rechargeable AA lithium batteries, the ones in mine drawer gathering dust. What a shameful trick. .
