The valve came with the exhaust and intake ports reversed compared to the Aprilaire #440 OEM valve. Luckily you can loosen the nut on the valve and twist the stainless steel body to fit. The OEM valve body was different internally and although it came with an orifice, I chose to reinstall the OEM accessory orifice. One of the brass fittings used to connect to the Model 440 fill tube did not fit in the compression sleeve because it had been improperly machined by the manufacturer. As you can see in the photo I had to omit the point where the 440 originally had the valving to accommodate the extra fittings to make it work. Also, some of the fittings that came with it were the wrong diameter. You'll need to carefully examine what you have and possibly take it to Home Depot etc along with a new valve to determine what you really need to install. That works fine. Make sure you reduce your water usage to the level you really need to reduce your water and sanitation bills. Otherwise, you might be surprised when you get your utility bills.
