The hotkey that turns these switches on is the scroll lock key, not the num lock key. Switching to/from a virtual machine no longer results in switching to another computer. It is also very convenient that they do not require a mains plug. So far I have connected the switch box to a Windows Surface, Mac Pro, Raspberry Pi and Jetson Nano. No hassles switching between all and no random shutdowns. Background: I have 2 SeaWit 4 KVM ports that automatically switch between boxes due to an unconfigurable Num Lock hotkey. The workaround has always been to make sure the num lock is in the same state on both the host and the client. I usually only notice this when the monitor switches. This is a real pain in the ass! Also, they usually stop working. The only solution is to unplug everything from the junction box and then plug everything back in. That's another big pain in the ass! The connection problem occurs at least once a week and the support team does not respond at all. The only problem I had was with one of the switches, the buttons on the front didn't work. The hotkey still worked. However, it was an easy replacement with Revain. I will update if there are any issues but overall I am very happy with this product.
