Comfortable but will it last?

I sit at my desk for hours. I'm taller and heavier than average, so comfort and durability were key. The chair took forever to arrive during the pandemic and it arrived in a large, heavy box. Our assembly is quite easy and the manufacturer provided me with all the necessary tools. The only issue I had was attaching the plastic covers to the tilt hinges - they were a little tricky to line up and screw on properly. In use, I like the fact that it can recline as well as recline. As a support, it reminds me of the high quality bucket seats found in a sports car. The tilt lever is easily accessible and easy to control (although sometimes you'll want more precise control of positions). In addition, the height of the armrests is easily adjustable. Reaching under the chair to adjust the incline mechanism is a yoga pose I can't hold for long, so I basically leave it as it is. The massage cushion and headrest were immediately put on the shelf and I haven't touched them since. . Both are rigid and uncomfortable to use. The massage feature is a gentle vibration and requires a USB cable plugged into a power source like a computer, which is dangerous at best. The extendable footrest is a joke. It's too short for all but a small child and can unbalance the chair if you try to bend over to fit it. I haven't touched it since it was installed a month ago. Deep down I was disappointed to see that this chair is built the same as every other cheap office chair on the market. It has a small central hydraulic cylinder. One end attaches to the base, the other plugs into the frame of the chair. I've had a dozen of these chairs and this mechanism always fails. (Even chairs for tall, tall people aren't designed well enough in this regard.) Either the cylinder starts to leak (and the chair doesn't hold its height) or the seat starts to tip as the underlying joints wear and the chair wobbles . Side to side. I can already feel a slight wobble in the seat (very annoying) and I suspect that the chair will be completely useless until the warranty expires.
