One reviewer said they received a sponge with a 90 degree angle (which made me a little suspicious). To be clear, it comes in packaging that's a little smaller than a sponge. Mine was also bent at the end and the corners were rounded as well. I took it out of my pocket, turned it upside down (so the curve was on top) and put something on top. During the day it was completely flat and the corners turned into real curves. This is just what I needed to put 2 homemade filters together and I would buy again anytime. This acts like the first stage mechanical filtration in my canisters.
