We still have a hermit crab. He seemed very sad and we wanted to get another crab because I understand they shouldn't be alone but at the same time I felt so bad that the poor crab just hid under that tree most of the time. time, but he didn't get up and didn't move. I wanted to make sure everyone got something for Christmas, so I looked for something different for him or her. I picked these leaves and am very happy about it. For the first few days, maybe almost a week, I don't think he had much to do with them. But then he got a sense of what they were because they were only in one section until we saw how much he liked them but as soon as he got in he got up and moved and those sheets are everywhere. He really seems to love them - he tears them up, he's beside himself, walking around and having a great time it seems. I mean, you can never say for sure and he might think they are evil alien invaders. You can't tell what the crab is thinking :) but he's definitely enjoying it. They certainly stimulate him and he definitely looks very pleased with them. He even eats more. I'm so glad we got them because we were really looking for something to give him some stimulation. He will soon have a new boyfriend in the next few days but it will be something both can enjoy. I strongly recommend trying it. This is the best I've found for my crab. I think it's even better than when I realized there was really good material for the bottom of his cage. And while it certainly keeps him sane and improves his quality of life, it seems to keep him engaged and entertained in a crab-specific way that he can't tell us about, but from his perspective it certainly seems enjoyable. . .
