I love the Skechers Max with Premier cushioning, but they have one fatal flaw. After about 2-3 months of wear the foam loses its structural integrity and then my feet start to turn outwards as the outer foam becomes more flat than the inner foam. Then my ankles and feet start to hurt and it's time for a new pair. At $90 a pair they are too expensive to buy 4 or 5 pairs a year. I've found that if I poke holes in the foam on the inside of the shoe I can stick with what I'm doing for a few more months. The shame is that after wearing them for only 2 months and the foam is dying these shoes still look brand new. The older, high-end, max-cushioning shoes I wore didn't have this issue, nor did the hiking boots, so it has something to do with the thicker sole and the change in foam chemistry. If I could get 6 months from them before they start twisting my ankles I would be happy.
