These boots will not last as long as other models but are very easy to put on. I like velcro but they always need trimming. If I leave the end too long my dog can open them and take them off. We use boots on a Miniature Schnauzer who has severe allergies and licks his feet whenever possible. We put shoes on him when we have to leave the house and he can't come with us. I wish the non-slip outsole lasted longer. Since Bear doesn't wear them on the outside they'd better hold up, but the non-slip part is already coming off the main part of the "top of the sock" and we've only had this set for 3 or 4 weeks. The other type has a Velcro strap at the back of the boot that closes behind the foot/paw. They tended to be too tight, causing the bear's paws to swell up a bit. They breathe better and don't cause swelling. I just wish they held up better.
