Review on 🛥️ Attwood 4201-7 Float Switch with Cover: Bilge Pump, 12- & 24-V, CE Rated, Compact Design - 4 ¼ Inches L x 3 7/8 Inches W x 1 3/8 Inches H by Larry Sabey

Bad design is not good for grip.

No no no. Worst switch ever. I have two wooden boats; one with 5 bilge pumps. The switch is always a problem. None of them will last long, but this one has a very poor design. The small post protruding from the side has a limiter that prevents the float from going too far into the hull. The problem is that the switching point occurs at the exact moment the stop is pressed. After some time, the switch stopped turning on, even though the float was submerged. A slight pull activates the switch. Any buildup of dirt or slime will do the same. This is a good way to sink a boat. If you can get there with a small grinder and want to remove some plastic, that might be fine, but I advise you to choose a different switch. Attwood clearly wasn't attempting to do this on a real boat. I bought 3 of these and switched them all at different heights. Poor quality switches.
