Proper fit isn't number one on their list

Where to start, lets start with the first image of idle engineers really talking about proper fit and function and the hassle free fit and durability of the part confirm. The shields I could attach were lined up so I had to drill or widen holes in the heat shields to mount the exhaust manifold. The large heat shield above that you see in the photo, I had to omit the screw because the bracket was about an inch shorter and way too angled to attempt to mount the screw. You better have a threaded tab because any bolt hole I could access wouldn't exist unless the bolt had to chase all the threads. I had to throw away the heat shield that keeps the alternator from getting too hot, there were no brackets for it at all as you will see in the other picture, two brackets that attach the exhaust manifold to the block to keep it from vibrating. and a stress crack, we can't go back because they misshaped the exhaust manifold, they did the mounting points on the exhaust manifold but just not right, nothing remotely matching. In general, it is installed with disappointment and the remaining 11 additional parts. I'm not happy with that, it's not a job I would do on someone else's car.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Embarrassingly
