later 1 star is 1 too many. Full of anticipation for my next run, I opened the package and TRYED β see photo β to wear this sock. Considering the price, just move on to the next pair, right? After dominating the trails day in and day out in my Altra Lone Peak 4.5s for the past three months in $5 for a dozen Target socks, cheap Puma socks, cheap Asics socks, etc., I immediately noticed a tightness in the upper Part of the foot when I put the boot on in this sock. OK. I think I just completely fattened my 4.5 seconds. Oh wait I KNOW I fattened them up because we walked a mile and now my feet are slipping in my shoes! Same shoes, same trail over and over for hundreds of miles, same guy (much better now, in better shape, etc.), but now my left foot slips like a penguin playing on a glacier. Why did I buy this sock at this price expecting an increase in performance knowing the world of marketing? I would have expected more from Saucony. Instead I got the worst socks in 36 years and they even made my favorite $120 shoes thicker like they were alpaca alpaca socks for 20 below zero.
