I only needed something loud than the built -in rear monitor speakers that I used. I watch a lot of movies, online presentations, listen to music. When I plugged it in it sounded great and I liked having a physical volume control. It took a little longer to really appreciate the bass sound. This little thing makes itself felt physically. I can feel low notes in the table he's standing over. I kept looking around the house and looking for the source of some strange noises before I realized that it was a small sound of the host as I met his desk. Although this speaker is not the cheapest on the market, it is also cheap and offers added value that goes beyond its price. I am very happy with this speaker and would buy it again.
