I've been using this card in my camera since early May and have been blown away by the flexibility its speed and capacity offers. Try as I might, the closest I got to filling this card was on my Canon XTi on a 5 day trip where I took over 3,000 medium/high quality (2816 x 1880) shots. I didn't have a computer or other storage with me on the trip, so I expected that at some point I'd have to delete photos to be able to save everything and be able to shoot more of what I wanted. But on the third day I realized that the card was about 2. 000 shots was only half full. I was also able to get a 90 frame burst at 3 fps on medium. In most cases, medium/high resolution on the XTi is sufficient for most prints. I've printed up to 11x14 with a little post processing with great success. So the card itself will handle a very happy journey with the right quality settings. But when I'm doing something more thoughtful, like portraits for a friend, I can take around 800 RAW photos and almost 450 RAW+JPEGs - big! (although when I need JPEG files, I usually just do a quick batch conversion when I import everything into Adobe Lightroom on my computer). However, what I like most about this card is that I can use it to take time-lapse photos, without having to carry my laptop around. If I have access to an outlet or can use an inverter in a field wagon, the only way I can set up my camera is with a locked shutter cable or a converted intervalometer that I sometimes borrow from a friend. This means I don't have to take my laptop with me, I don't have to set up software with cables, I don't have to worry about powering my laptop, I don't have to respond quickly to every computer - I can set up and move around camera communication problems much faster. There are just so many benefits! When I shoot in medium/high resolution, this card gives me enough frames for 2 minutes of high definition video at 24 fps. lap video. When I record in small/high resolution (1936x1280 is still higher than 1920x1080 1080P video) I can get almost 4 minutes. And if I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of quality for length by shooting in small/normal mode, I can get close to 10 minutes of time-lapse video. In terms of speed, this card is fast enough. Surprisingly, I get faster transfers directly from the camera via the USB cable than with my card reader, but it could just be a bad card reader. But I can transfer an almost complete map in just a few minutes. Transferring data from the camera to the card is fairly fast, and the buffer is cleared in just a few seconds after a single RAW+JPEG-L capture and about 20 seconds, to clear the entire buffer (good for 9 RAW+JPEG-L, 12 RAW or 90+ medium/high quality images). I haven't had a single case of data corruption or other problems with this CF card either. It's rock solid and I'm very glad I didn't go for something smaller or cheaper. but it could just be a bad card reader. But I can transfer an almost complete map in just a few minutes.
