Excellent indoor external speaker and Play 3 replacement

We finally have the portable outdoor Bluetooth/Wi-Fi speaker from Sonos. I have Sonos products in my house, so I'll admit that I already like and am familiar with their products. This speaker fits perfectly into their lineup for people who want to get Sonos out of their home Wi-Fi zones. I will keep this review short and sweet. This speaker is not small. It's probably about twice as loud as the Play One. It's not lightweight either, but it has a very well thought out grip. What I think of this speaker is the new and improved Play 3, which happens to be portable and battery powered. It has a front driver that sounds very nice and is loud enough for my taste. It can be connected to another Move speaker if you have a large deck and don't want to hardwire your stereo. What I'm doing with mine is the perfect app in my opinion. I leave a handy and well-made charging station at home where I would put the Play 3. It works just like your other Sonos speakers. When I use it outside, I just pick it up and take it with me. Internal Wi-Fi extenders mean I never have to use Bluetooth when I'm near home. I use this on my patio. If I forget to bring it in at night, it has no problem with a downpour, a fall in a pool, or a shot from a water gun. Pros: - Good volume and speaker sound. It's not as good as the Play 5, but just as good or slightly better than the Play One. - Very well built. - The charging station is well made and can stay in a convenient place. Good. - 10 hours of battery life at 50% volume. Cons: - Price. It's not a cheap column. Height and weight. I'm not taking this to the beach. It's a bit big for that and I wouldn't want to risk that price on the beach. It is new so no aftermarket wall or floor mounts have been made yet. I'm waiting for a wall mount for my deck where I can just put it aside.

Pros
  • Rechargeable battery for up to 11 hours of continuous playback and deep, powerful sound. Easily charge Move with the included base station or compatible USB-C charger
Cons
  • . There are other interesting options.
