So to be honest even with 2 small downsides I should still buy it. It's big enough for my gsd/clumber spaniel (he's 65 pounds and built like a fat short legged gsd) with extra room. So almost all big dog owners are smaller than their big giants like Danes and Newfs and will be fine with that. The wires are strong, which is great, but be aware that this makes it difficult to fold back (they form a circle, like car window covers). The only other issue I had was the net was torn when my dog excitedly scratched it when I got home. Knowing it was a problem, we worked on it. In short, if your dog is happy to be kept in a crate and doesn't struggle to get out of it, then you love them and they're great for travel. It folds up very easily, just hard to roll it back into a circle. Makeable. But it is difficult.
