Oh how I love these small and light Canon pocket cameras. I have basic digital photography gear, but when I'm traveling for free time I don't want to carry the weight and worry of carrying a big, good camera. I have used the Canon Powershot Elph since it was invented many years ago. This Elph 150 is probably my 4th or 5th generation and new to me (December 2014) but so far it's amazing in every way, which is important to me in a small travel camera. It is always available and ready to use! It's very light, fits in the front pocket of my pants but isn't big enough to fit in while seated. Or it fits in the front pocket of my purse or fanny pack without adding any noticeable weight. I particularly like the 10x optical zoom. Also, in a special shot, I upload photos to Photoshop where I can play around with close-ups. (It's really hard to get a good extreme close-up just with the camera.) Canon's menus are easier to use than Nikon's, so I switched to Canon Digital in the 1990s. Be sure to buy extra batteries and high-quality SD cards. You need extra. (I travel with three or everyone.) The camera doesn't come with an SD card that gives you the option to update it. Do not look for a profitable card - it can fail and you will lose all your photos. Also: The camera for this order does not come with interface cables. The box contains only the camera, the charger and a battery. Another note: I have had similar models from Lumix, Nikon Coolpix and Casio and prefer Canon. For these small point-and-shoot models, Canon lenses are great. I am very happy with this purchase.
