Buyer Warning! Battery connection problem!

This product is definitely just okay. Images are low to medium grain for point and capture, easy to focus and very compact for the price. The problem I have with my camera is that the battery is no longer making contact with the battery compartment. I solved this problem by putting a small piece of paper between the battery and the battery compartment to press the battery against the contacts. this makes it harder to close the door, but at least the camera turns on. One great thing about this…

Pros
  • A 20.0 megapixel sensor combined with a DIGIC 4+ image processor delivers unprecedented performance.
Cons
  • I'll write later

It's canon, Jim!

I bought this camera in November 2014. I had a particular fondness for Canon as I was replacing a Canon camera that I had been using for about 10 years. It was a very durable Canon Elph that finally breathed its last when the protective front lens fell out of the camera. I expected the same excellent quality I've experienced from any device with the Canon name. Unfortunately this camera died after only 7 months of use. I've never dropped it, but for some reason the protective screen on the lens

Great pocket camera, great image quality and a long zoom lens.

This camera exceeded all my expectations. The original Elphs had a 3x optical zoom, but this one has an amazing 10x zoom that goes from 24mm to 240mm. Note that the 24mm lens is wide-angle, which is nice. There's also image stabilization, which is great for telephoto lenses. In automatic mode, the camera selects a scene and adapts to it. Some reviewers felt the screen didn't have enough resolution, but I found it very acceptable and wouldn't complain about it. The picture quality is really…

Pros
  • 10x optical zoom offers excellent optical performance and versatility.
Cons

I love the little ones Canon

Oh how I love these small and light Canon pocket cameras. I have basic digital photography gear, but when I'm traveling for free time I don't want to carry the weight and worry of carrying a big, good camera. I have used the Canon Powershot Elph since it was invented many years ago. This Elph 150 is probably my 4th or 5th generation and new to me (December 2014) but so far it's amazing in every way, which is important to me in a small travel camera. It is always available and ready to use! It's
