As someone new to watercolor painting, I like to see results based on paper texture. So far my favorite is cold pressed paper. There's this "bumpy" look I've always liked in watercolor painting. Leda Art Supply's cold-pressed watercolor paper has just the right amount of texture to create the look I like without being so harsh that it's difficult for me to control what I'm trying to do. The weight of the paper doesn't curl or fluctuate due to the wateriness of my paint, which I appreciate. There's nothing worse than getting a flower that looks like I intended, but the paper is warped. I've been known to smooth this, which seems to work most of the time, but can smooth the texture.
