For over 30 years, from the 1970's through 2000, Sears Craftsman tools were my premier tool maker. They were once made in the USA and carry a lifetime guarantee. But now everything is gone. The quality of the new Craftsman tools leaves a lot to be desired. A real shame. Tecton is what I buy now. Some Tekton tools are made in the US, but most appear to be made in Taiwan and China. I wish they were all made in Canada or the US. However, the quality of the Tekton appears to be good. Tekton is now my favorite tool maker.
