This silk shirt was bought for my husband. The cuffs and sleeves are torn at the seams. I always wash clothes before I wear them for the first time. This item is designed to be machine washable. I put it in a laundry bag separately and washed it in our machine with just a few other small items on the gentle cycle and then hung to dry. After washing, a inch section formed on the cuff of one sleeve and spread along the seam. In addition to a slight separation of the sleeve and cuff, "puffs” formed on the fabric in this area. Walks like in nylon stockings. The fabric of the shirt is also very easy to snag. This item is extremely fragile. I would not recommend that.
