I have been a cat lover for over 20 years. I also had to deal with keeping all doors open between me and my cats or all hell would break loose. It wasn't a problem for 10 years, it wasn't until my son turned 5 that I really REALLY wanted to be able to close my bedroom door lol. Fast forward about a year and a half ago when my parents had a Golden Retriever puppy who wouldn't leave my cats alone when he came to my house. Since I took it every week for my parents, it was impossible to separate the animals, they had to learn to live together. While searching online for different paddock options I bought 3 different gates for kids and pets and came across this cat portal. As soon as I saw him, the church bells rang and my phone lit up - I found a way out of my nightmare, YES! This gives my cats access to my room but prevents access to the dog and baby if I lock the door. I no longer have to worry about locking my cats in or out of my room because they can come and go as they please. No more incessant meowing or scratching at the door. This cat portal is a godsend, it's been so long I've forgotten how nice it is when my door is closed. I was a little concerned that not all my cats would be able to use it, my cat is a bit chubby and he is a big cat to begin with. Even though his stomach is rubbing on the ground, he still fits through the hole easily, I didn't have to buy a very big portal. It was worth every penny!
