My son sprained his knee and his physical therapist gave him a brace from the same company, only it was higher on the hip and lower on the calf. We bought this in hopes it would help him move around a little more in baseball while still providing the support around his knee that he wanted. But the velcro on the straps is a different material than what we had before. No matter what we do, the straps don't stay on the Velcro. The doctors and physical therapist put four different braces on us during his recovery and this is the first time this type of velcro has been fitted to a brace. It simply does not work! There are also no flex points on the knee brace, so the plastic only flexes when you bend your knee, which will break over time. It must have a flexion point above the knee and below the kneecap for it to be a working active orthosis.
