READ BEFORE BUYING! You will not regret it! I love the price and functionality of this TV mount! Installing and securing the bracket prior to installing a large, very expensive curved UHD TV is another story. First the disadvantages: The instructions make it very clear that when mounting on a finished inner wall, this must be mounted in the proven middle of two spaced uprights. exactly 16 inches apart, with three screws at the top and two at the bottom. Well, there is no problem! Unless the mount is too small for that. As you can see from my photos, 16 inches, measured against the template provided, gets you to the very edge of the holes at the very end of each side. To make matters worse, it doesn't match the bracket. And let's face it, in which house are the studs ideally spaced exactly 16 inches apart? I got lucky and mine were only 1/8 inch off, but this time it was in my favor and I'll explain why next. I ended up having to turn the mounting screws outwards left and right to get in the center of the studs. Also, there was no center bolt or center hole as the instructions suggest. The instructions also specifically state not to mount to drywall. (Spirit!). However, I added two 75 pound drywall lag screws along the top center for added stability and it finished the job nicely. If you have to drill them at an angle because the hinge is in the way and the holes don't line up with that magic 16 inches, you'll feel my pain. I got it working, but it took a lot of effort, and the bottom right screw gave me little to no confidence. Let's go to the pros! Everything you need is included, including a sleek torpedo level! It was a pleasant surprise! You'll need to make sure you have a spike finder, which isn't included in the kit (and make sure you point it at yourself first to make sure it works! This is a must have for any true stud!) . The wall bracket is pre-assembled, so great! The rest is easy to follow and assemble if you read the instructions or try to unroll it because you are too cool for instructions and just want to look at the easy to understand pictures! I suggest using a 13mm socket or 13mm socket for screws. They included a wrench made in (insert foreign land here), but it's quite small, and unless you're going to be shipwrecked on a desert island and it's the only tool you have, I wouldn't recommend getting it use. All of the mounting screws and spacers of various sizes are also included and give you tips on how to use them, but if you didn't hire a chimp to install it I think you're fine if you skip this page and get on with it , what works . ! Conclusion: Overall I am very satisfied with this TV mount. This will serve my purposes well! I gave it a -1 star for incorrect stats. And -1 star for bad design. If the manufacturer is reading this, I suggest you widen this bracket two inches on both sides and add additional holes on each side for easier mounting. Do not move the swivel arm!
